Kovačević

Tijana is a senior associate at SOG law firm. She heads the IP, Media & Data Protection department.

She regularly counsels clients on an array of IP-related legal matters, including copyrights and trademarks, license negotiations, IP compliance/management, trade secrets, and intellectual property infringement. She runs a well-trained, specialized IP team, serving international and domestic clients across SEE.

Besides this, whether GDPR or other privacy regulations, data breaches, data transfer challenges, or use of cookies and online tracking, Tijana’s team always provides trustworthy legal advice.

In her over a decade of professional experience, she actively advised the Serbian public R&D institutions participating in programs implemented by the Serbian Innovation Fund, such as Mini and Matching Grants, Technology Transfer, Innovation Vouchers, and Proof of Concept, guiding them through complex intellectual property ownership issues in projects developed by the researchers, often in collaboration with other faculties, institutes, and commercial entities.

She acted as a senior legal expert for the Western Balkans Proof of Concept Scheme Project, an EU-funded project supporting technology development and commercialization in the Western Balkans.

Tijana also advises clients from the advertising and entertainment industry on a broad range of legal matters, which includes resolving copyright issues, negotiating and drafting a variety of contracts attached to creating films, TV series, advertising campaigns, and other audio/visual content, and helps clients to align with requirements of advertising, consumer protection, and trade regulations.

Tijana graduated from Belgrade University, Faculty of Law, where she is currently attending master studies in intellectual property law and innovation of knowledge studies in digital property law.
